Victory Park Final Results
It was a beautiful morning in Slatington with many new faces in the field. Denny Barr capitalized on Pee Yount's missed 4 ft. putt in overtime to seal the win, while many others followed close behind. Jesse Young's 4 birdie rally fell just short of winning, but placed him into a solid third. The rankings were shaken up a bit yet again with several top throwers moving up the ranks. Walter found himself into the top early on, but slipped on the final hole to fall to fourth. Great playing, and can't wait for the team championship at Tinicum Park!

It was nice to meet some of the guys in the league today. For the third year in a row i came in second at the victory open. I was 3 under par after regulation and then i had a three way tie for second place so we shot a playoff hole and i got a deuce to win the playoff to end up at 4 under for the day. Afterwards some of us played best disc doubles and again it was second place for me . My team shot an 11 under score of 43 only to get beat again by the pro who won the singles event. His team shot a 12 under par of 42. We could have tied his team on the last hole but my 25 foot putt hit the top of the cage assembly and i knew it was over. Anyway again it was nice to meet some of the guys in the league that i did not meet before. Next weekend if i am not busy Yount and i might play the nockamixon course so if anyone would like to join let us know.
i would be interested for sunday morning if possible. glad ya'll did well, can't wait to get back on it in the upcoming events.
i would like to get together but its too early to know what my schedule would be like especially with work. I will post later in the week what day or days i am available and see if we can get it done. I hope it was a special day on your daughters b-day.
I can be available Friday and Saturday morning, if that works for you guys. Unfortunately Sunday doesn't work for me. Congratulations on the Victory Park Open Gunkel, still not bad for throwing on the new wing.
i am 10-7 at work all week...i might try to squeeze a 630-7am start for some play local on one day...but saturday we are celebrating 7 wonderful years of marriage, so that kind of leaves me out.
as of right now saturday at 10 am at nockamixon is good for me.
may 16th at nockamixon 10 am. we are gonna play random draw doubles with 3 formats.. holes 1-6 =best disc
holes 7-12= worst disc
holes 13-18 best score.
you beginner guys dont be nervous this is for fun,,, no money on the line and besides you might get me as your doubles partner so thats a bonus. If you dont know what the 3 formats mean dont worry i will explain when we all get there.
This looks like alot of fun, and I recommend that as many members as possible try to attend this event to get a hang of the monster nockamixon course and its finished layout. I will definitely be there.
I am hoping we don't get rained out on Saturday morning.
looks like the weather will be good for the 10 am start . 10 am zero % chance of rain . 11 am 10 % chance and 1 pm 30 % chance of rain.

I should also be free on Monday. Tuesday I will be heading into the city to sign my lease, but hope to be back in time to play with Denny and crew at Covered bridge by 6.
i hurt my back at the victory open last week so depending if i aggravate it at nockamixon today monday anytime should be alright.
i'd be free Monday around 430p...let me know if ya have any ideas.
sunday is questionable...i have to play it by ear.
FYI....Myself and Danny Mac will be playing at Covered Bridge at 10am this Sunday morning..anyone is welcome to join. Gunkel, I can't play Sunday afternoon, but let me know about Monday.
out at nockamixon we decided we are gonna play my buddies private course on monday around noon.
Covered Bridge is a no go tomorrow. I am looking to play a longer course in the am. If anyone is playing, let me know.
